ReSound hearing aids, fitted and repaired at home across the North East

ReSound is one of the largest hearing aid makers in the world, known for natural sound and some of the best wireless streaming in the business. We supply, fit and service ReSound across its current range, including aids bought elsewhere that need adjusting or repairing. As an independent practice we only recommend ReSound where it genuinely suits your hearing and your life, and we will say so if another brand fits you better. Everything begins with a free hearing test at home, and the aftercare that follows is included.

  • Independent advice, plus repairs and servicing for existing ReSound wearers
  • Fitted, adjusted and looked after in your own home
  • A free hearing test first, with no obligation to buy

The difference

What ReSound does differently

ReSound builds its aids around what it calls Organic Hearing, the idea that your brain is the real sound processor and the aid should feed it a natural, full picture rather than an over-engineered one. Its newest aids add AI on top of that, but the goal stays the same: sound that feels real and unforced.

Two things set ReSound apart in particular. It has long led the field on connectivity, having been the first brand to stream straight to an iPhone, and it still has one of the strongest setups for phones, TV and public sound systems. And its M&RIE design places a tiny extra microphone inside your ear canal, using the natural shape of your ear to give you a more accurate sense of where sounds are coming from. ReSound tends to suit people who value natural sound and want their aids to work smoothly with their devices.

The technology

The technology, in plain terms

The latest ReSound aids pair their established natural-sound processing with an AI chip for the moments that need extra help, and they lead the industry on Auracast, the new technology that lets you stream public audio straight to your ears.

  • Natural, unforced sound, that does not feel heavily processed
  • A more natural sense of direction, thanks to the in-ear microphone on supported models
  • Class-leading streaming, for calls, TV and music, with one of the easiest Auracast setups there is for theatres, airports and other public venues
  • A focus mode for noise, that you can switch on when a room gets difficult
  • Rechargeable batteries, with strong all-day life, even with streaming

Earlier ReSound models (Omnia, One and others)

If you already wear an older ReSound aid, we can still adjust, service and support it, and advise whether an upgrade is worth it for you.

Best for: People who already wear an older ReSound aid, or want previous-generation value.

  • Earlier lines such as Omnia and One came in receiver-in-ear, behind-the-ear and custom styles
  • Rechargeable models give about a full day; disposable-battery models run roughly a week
  • These lines introduced M&RIE, an optional in-ear microphone for a natural sense of direction
  • We can adjust, service and repair these, and advise whether an upgrade is worth it

We are independent, so we can supply and service the full ReSound range, not only the models shown here. Tell us the aid you have in mind and we will sort it.

Honest advice

When ReSound might not be the right brand

We would rather be honest than make a sale. If your single biggest challenge is following speech in very loud, crowded rooms and you want the highest independently tested performance there, Phonak's Sphere tends to lead. And if you would value built-in health features like fall detection, Starkey is worth a look. ReSound is often the right answer when natural sound and excellent streaming matter most, and comparing it properly is exactly what an independent fitter is for.

ReSound questions

Common questions about ReSound hearing aids

Can you repair or service my ReSound hearing aids?

Yes. We service and repair ReSound aids at home across the North East, including pairs that were bought somewhere else. We can clean them, change tubes and filters, handle warranty and manufacturer repairs, and re-tune them as your hearing changes. If you have an existing ReSound aid that has stopped working as it should, get in touch.

Are ReSound hearing aids good for streaming and iPhone?

Very. ReSound was the first brand to stream directly to an iPhone and still has some of the best connectivity there is, for phones, TVs and public sound systems through Auracast. If staying connected to your devices matters to you, ReSound is a strong choice.

What is the newest ReSound hearing aid?

The ReSound Vivia, the brand's first AI-powered aid and one of the smallest of its kind, is the current flagship.

How much do ReSound hearing aids cost?

Private aids are priced by the technology level you choose, so there is no single figure. We start with a free test and a no-obligation recommendation, then explain the options and prices clearly so the choice is yours.

Can you get ReSound hearing aids on the NHS?

The NHS fits from a limited list that does not usually include ReSound's latest aids. Going private gives you the full range and a fitting built around you, and we will explain the difference honestly.

Is it ReSound or Resound?

The brand spells it ReSound, with a capital S. If you have seen it written as Resound or Re-Sound, you are in the right place.
